Sticker & Social Diary: A beautiful life!

[Proud mama] Today Nin had her first little kickers trial, at first she was a bit shy but in the end she managed to "wow" the coaches..not talking about her soccer skill but her cooperative-ness in going through the whole session from the beginning until the end :)

Some people may ask, why would you enrol your daughter to a soccer class? Our point was not to make her into a pro soccer player but more for her social skills: to boost her confidence in meeting new people.

This morning, there was one time when it was a "solo" performance where the kids have to do a kangaroo jump twice, then run until reaching the edge of a goal, and do a big kick! Once coach Toby finished his demo, Nin straightly stand up on her own, move forward to the middle of the hall, and copied the whole routine by herself, perfectly!...before the coach even started calling anyone's names!!! Whilst 5 mins ago she was still dragging me around the hall!

Bub and i was looking at each other, stunned!! So When she gained all her "trust" to the surroundings, she became very easily comfortable and confident! Very Pisces 😁

Nin is a bit cautious kid since she was really small. she tends to stay away (used to be in tears!) from "stranger" or new people so much - which sometimes is a good thing, tho. She doesnt have any problems with other kids, but to new adults? Yes, she got easily intimidated and choose to stay away until she feels "safe" (that was the feedback from her babies room carers as well).

Most toddler extracurricular classes here start from the age of 3, so the options of joining an early-toddler's extracurricular activity was limited.

She does swimming once a week since she was 1. However, other options for her was kindy dance and soccer. Once again, as we both are working full-time, only LKFC does have the weekend classes avail for this term which suit our timetable 😊

Both Bub and I are planning to enrol Nin into all extracurriculars that we can afford (amin insyaallah); Swimming, soccer, piano, kumon, kindy dance/ballet, and karate. But in the end, we've promised to each other that the full option is in her own hands, whichever she feels like doing, we will give her full support!! (but piano will be compulsary, baby :))

I've had read this somewhere, around her current age it is best not to segregate things into "gender" activities, bluntly. Let her explore everything, and when she gets older she can choose!

Anyway, we are so proud of her today, and always will be :))) love you my silly bumbum!!

Xoxo
